A little pampering goes a long way.  Most of us would love to be swept away to an exotic tropical destination spa for the kind of pampering the celebrities experience.  But before we can get there, we have to go through the stress of all the preparation along with having to get through the boarding of a plane or getting on a cruiser just to get away for a couple of days -- stressing out to get there and again returning home.

Well, on a smaller scale and locally, you can duplicate the feeling of getting pampered at a spa by calling a group of your girlfriends and inviting them to a spa theme party at someone's house on a weekend.  This would be like a girl's day out, if you will, to bond and reminisce with them, and have a relaxing afternoon and evening.  You could start with a light lunch.  If your theme is tropical, you might want to serve a delicious tropical fruit salad from one of the hand painted glass serving bowls from our Bird of Paradise design, the exotic flower named after paradise itself.  You could serve an iced tea in a grande wine glass or a goblet from that design category.  Somehow, it seems the more beautiful the glass, the better the drink tastes.  This is a great way to stay cool in the summer.
